Yesterday afternoon I passed a couple of hours watching a Netflix movie named, “The Electric State”. I enjoyed the movie although I admit it wasn’t a two thumbs up review. The villain in the movie was a character name Ethan Skate, the CEO of a company named Sentre. At first I thought maybe the movie was about Jeff Bezos and Amazon, probably due to the bald actor Stanley Tucci. As the movie progressed and the sinister evil of Skate became more apparent I finally decided a better analogy would be Elon Musk and Tesla.

Today begins with the creation of a windows 11 recovery disk. Recent power outages finally resulted in the NUC not booting.

I also have an hp laptop from a fried that doesn’t power on. I suspect it is a bad power cord/supply.

And at about 10 AM it is time for my bi-monthly mani pedi.

I read Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series at some point in the past, but when I started watching the Foundations on Apple TV, it did not seem to follow the books as I remembered, so I started reading the books again before continuing to watch the series. I am a third of the way through book 3 of the original series and while the show does weave all the principles from the book, it certainly takes many liberties to make its point. Thus far the most disturbing part of the show that was never part of the book, is all the sex and romance. I guess when Isaac wrote his books so many years ago the moral of the country wouldn’t accept that.

My day began with a major change at my wife’s workstation. Her NUC refused to reboot after the 4th power outage in the past 4 days. I had to find the docking station and hookup her laptop to drive her dual 27” monitors. She had the nerve to ask me to calm down as I dug through the tangle of cables. Go figure. 😍

But the big news is my dentist appointment was moved up to today. Hurray, I should get another tooth reconstructed, so I’ll go from missing two front teeth to only one.
